There were five of us at October's meeting, where we were producing appliqué designs based on photographs. I was working on a sunflower picture and used it to demonstrate how to simplify the photograph into pieces that can be cut out of fabric. Here you can see the original photograph, an outline drawing and where I am starting to put together the petals on a piece of parchment paper.
